The Lincoln House is a wonderful period holiday let in the heart of Lincoln’s world-famous Cathedral Quarter. It is surrounded by quaint independent shops, cafes and bars all within a few minutes’ walk - so guests rarely need to use a car to enjoy an entertaining few days away at No 2 Wordsworth St.
Perched at the top of Lincoln’s ancient Steep Hill, the house sleeps up to six people and is fully equipped for short and longer stays. Shoppers staying at The Lincoln House are constantly treated to new arrivals nearby. Last year saw the opening of the very excellent ‘The Curiosity Shop’, a brilliantly stocked gin bar which also sells the objet d’art on display in its comfortable and quirky lounge. Further down the High St, it’s always fun to check out some of the top notch charity shops which always seem to stock high end garments and treasured knick-knacks in need of new homes.
Every week seems to see a new shop or market in the streets of vibrant Lincoln. There are regular craft and farmers’ markets and specialist fairs all through the year. For further information, see here or contact the Visit Lincoln website for news of shopping events.
